D.D. Transport Ltd. is an international flatbed service
provider that manages an extensive fleet of Hibeds, Low
Beds, Drop Decks, Double Drops, B-Trains, and Dry Vans.
We are committed to providing our customers with specialty-designed
trailers serving Canada and the USA.
 Although
the current ownership of D.D. Transport Ltd. became effective
in 1978, the company was actually incorporated in 1975.
The present owner, Levern Peddle, began work in the trucking
industry in 1970. Initial employment found Levern transporting
vegetables to St. John’s for the farmers of Lethbridge,
Newfoundland. In fact, Levern’s father, John Peddle,
operated a farm in the area called Riverbend Farm. Levern
adopted the name and started his own trucking company -
Riverbend Transport.
The change of ownership in 1978 saw growth and an expansion
of services for D.D. Transport Ltd. Throughout the last
30 years there has been major changes and developments in
the transportation industry in North America. D.D. Transport
Ltd. has sustained this growth, maintained a firm position
in the industry and has entered the 21st century with a
solid foundation of experience and expertise.
D.D. Transport provides its clients with a winning combination
of both “old school” values and advanced technology.
 Our
dealings with our clients are steeped in the traditional
values of honesty, fairness, reliability and quality. This
has allowed us to remain a strong competitor in the industry
for the past 27 years. In recent years we have invested
in comprehensive fleet management and trucking dispatch
software, and retrofitted our power units with satellite
based tracking systems designed with two way communication.
Our dispatch/operations staff has received extensive training
in these advanced tools. This ensures that our customers
receive quality service for their transportation needs.
